GRAPH Supports Lonsdale’s Investment into Tech-Enabled Property Consultancy Service Provider

GRAPH has supported Lonsdale Capital Partners’ investment into tech-enabled property consultancy service provider, GIA. GRAPH provided comprehensive commercial due diligence to Lonsdale’s team to support the investment.

The GRAPH team on the transaction was led by James Tetherton (Senior Partner) and Matt Harrison (Senior Manager), working alongside David Gasparro (Partner) and Stefan Smith (Associate) from Lonsdale.

GIA, which has offices across the UK, has over 30 years of experience advising clients and navigating complexity in the ever-changing real-estate environment. As the leading practice in Rights of Light, Daylight and Sunlight, Neighbourly Matters, Wind Microclimate, Measured Surveys and Plan Tech in the UK, the technology-led company tackle challenges in the built environment.

GIA’s offering is underpinned by its proprietary technology platform, Phoenix. This revolutionary app enables complex analysis of daylight, sunlight and overshadowing to be undertaken quickly and accurately, helping clients to proactively identify opportunities and risks.

Following the investment, Lonsdale will now support GIA to scale beyond the UK and Republic of Ireland into other regions, and to expand into other service lines, such as wind and solar analysis.

GRAPH was approached by Lonsdale thanks to its experience delivering commercial due diligence across the built environment, with a particular focus on construction tech. This deal extends GRAPH’s strong track record of consultancy within the sector, having previously collaborated with investors on a broad array of technology deals in the industry, spanning from environmental consulting software, through cost analysis systems, to facilities management tools.

Stefan Smith, Associate at Lonsdale said: “We very much enjoyed working with James, Matt, and the team at GRAPH on this project. From the outset, they understood the key questions we needed answering, and delivered thorough, insightful analysis to help support our investment thesis. This was our first-time working GRAPH, and we would absolutely welcome the chance to work with them again in the future.”

James Tetherton, Senior Partner at GRAPH, said: “It was great to work with the team at Lonsdale on this project. The built environment touches every aspect of our lives, and the sector is increasingly adopting technology to help solve the most complex business challenges. GIA is the clear leader in its space, with outstanding customer relationships underpinned by the unique Phoenix technology platform, and we’re excited to see them continue to expand their offering.”
